Has anyone had travel insurance whilst they where on Fentanyl patches...last year it cost me and hubby £30 for a week in Spain...because of these patches I am either being refused or they want over £100...I do understand there worries....
Just wondering if anyone had got a good deal.
Love
Barbara

Unfortunately you will find travel insurance more expensive...

If you are frequent travellers might be worth getting annual insurance....

There is an advert (currently on tv) for the older person but age is not really relevant they cover over 200 conditions automatically...... But..... You will need to declare all other conditions etc.....

I found this the best insurance for us......sorry I can't give the name out as we can't advertise on here.....

    Good luck xx

Crikey, Barbara, these things are a problem, aren't they? I just checked and it seems you need to check its legal status in the countries you are travelling through and to. Also there are legal limits on how much you can take abroad with you. If you need to take more than this limit you will have to apply to the Home Office for a licence before you travel. Plus, you should carry a letter from your doctor that confirms your need for the medicine. Presumably a prescription would do though.

I'd guess that, if the hike in insurance is due to the Fentanyl, then it'll be much the same with any insurance company. If you like I can PM you the name of ours. It was cheaper than the others we looked into and not up by much on last year but I don't do fentanyl.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I cant help you Barbara, but I do hope you manage to find someone that will insure you. I know my mum had heart and lung condition and was on loads of meds, but she did have to pay out to go abroad.

And I really hope you get away. I dont even have a passport any more.

Let us know how it goes. And I shall keep my fingers crossed for you.

I've just checked, Toni, and what I wrote in my previous post does apply to Butrans Patches too so you'd need to check they are legal wherever you go.
