I only found this forum last week , I also suffer from O/A in my hands and feet also I have Fibro & Cervical Spondylitis at the moment I think I most have a fibro flare I ache every where my hands are so bad especially my fingers are so swollen I am finding it hard to pick things up etc.
To answer your question I had two session of the wax treatment at the Hospital but because of the Fibro and having sensitive skin it caused my hands to feel like there were burning ( like sunburn ) ,what happens is that you put your hands up to your wrist in a vat of warm paraffin wax then you get your hands wrapped in a towel leave it for say ten minutes ,but in my case after a few minutes had to have it washed off so could not complete the course , that doe't mean it will effect anybody else like that ,anything that will help is always Worth a try

Hi Pringles, thanks for your comments. I also have Fibro, perhaps I hold try and get this wax thing done before purchasing one, just in case it doesn't suit me either.
