Well it's now nearly 3 weeks since I had my revision done on my knee it went very well and I am recovering ok had a few bad days but I think it's been too many visitors and not enough rest. They found out what the problem was with my old TKR My surgeon said the knee would never have worked when he opened the knee up it was full of gungy sticky rubbish bits of stuff floating around and said I must have been in a lot of pain with what he found. He couldn't say what caused the problem. Still I was only in hospital for 5 days the staff were amazed at my recovery revisions usually take longer. I had only 20% bend when I went in because of the swelling I could only get 60% when I came home however I am doing my exercises and it is getting easier. Will keep you posted on my recovery Wendy

That's great news, Wendgro, and I'm very pleased indeed for you. You've waited a long time for this and deserve a good one. I'm sure you'll do everything right vis-a-vis exercises and rest. Please keep us updated. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

The way your first TKR went sounds awful. Glad it's fixed now, it sounds like you're really on the mend now, certainly going from 20% to 60% bend straightaway is brilliant. Well done and good luck with the rest of your recovery.0

Your first TKR sounds awful, glad to hear this one is going much better.
Best wishes.

This is better news, Wendgro, I am pleased to hear it! I'm sorry that you had a setback with too many vistors, I know that people want to pop in and say hello but surgery does take it out of one, doesn't it? Rest, exercise, rest, exercise (repeat as much as possible!) and here's to a happier knee (and a happier Wendgro too!) DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

It sounds like you are well rid of that gunky clunky knee!...You must have been in tremendous pain but boy did you recover well from revision...Puts me into pale comparison with 8days just for a complex knee replacement...
Long may you continue to go from strength to strength!
