Hello, the drugs for PsA (psoriatic arthritis) and RA are the same - your title said RA but you mention PsA. I am currently on sulph, injected meth and humira for the PsA and for the OA just pain relief and an anti-inflammatory. I am about to start my seventeenth year of the PsA, I'm not sure how long the OA has been a factor but that was diagnosed two years ago this month after Xrays showed bone-on-bone through 3/4 of each knee. It's also in both ankles, my right hip and spreading to my neck. PsA-wise I have also tried leflunomide, cyclosporin, infliximab and enbrel, all to little effect. I now realise that what I would like to gain from these meds doesn't exist - well, not for me.

I know that the meth etc is 'working' for the PsA in that my blood results are lovely but they have not been able to establish much in the way of quality of life. I am now reliant on a rollator for getting about and the OA is much more of a nuisance now pain-wise. You may find that other drugs will be added in for the PsA - it can take a while to establish which meds and in what combination will work for you. I wish you well and I hope you find some relief soon. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben
