    Hi Stephen again
MRIs are really good at showing things up that Xrays can miss....I do hope you get the answers you want..I have just sent for a copy of my back MRIs on disc...and other bits and pieces....you have to pay but I cant wait to see them .

went to the hospital for the results of the mri and they have confirmed that I do indeed have osteoarthritis in my knees and a damaged cartilage In the right knee, which I have been put on the waiting list to have an arthroscopy to repair the cartilage, he did say that he would not do it if it was for the arthritis alone..

still at least now I have a firm diagnosis of the problem..

Glad the MRI scan showed what the consultant thought and they have put you on the list for an arthroscopy to repair the cartilage, I've had 2 arthroscopy's it's done in day surgery and you will be up on your feet in no time. As for the conformation that you have Osteo-Arthritis now you will get the meds you need and hopefully will be better on your feet in no time.

Thats good news that the MRI showed up the damage and you can start the treatment to hopfully be in less pain.

When I had my MRIs on both my feet, the surgeon said there was no damage but they operated on me anyway as I was in such pain and they found lots of damage. Thats when he said MRIs dont actually show all the damage and for about 10% of people, it shows no damage what so ever.
