Hi All
Just wanted to post a quick message to say thank you to everyone on this forum. I don't think you can understand how much of a positive effect that the support and selfless empathy you give out to others can have.

This forum is a source of strength to a lot of people (including me) and just knowing that someone out there can identify with your situation or at least offer a listening ear when you need to rant is a powerful thing, especially when you are going through tough times yourselves.

So I just want to say thank you to everyone who has ever read or replied to one of my posts - you are amazing. :D

    Aw, thanks Chrissie :)

I have been on this forum for years and it is great to gain information and also to help others. It makes me feel useful. So this forum is good for me both in the giving and taking. I am on other forums too and do the same because I am so grateful for help and guidance when new things crop up to try to beat me down and to be armed with information is power. I am sure GPs learn from patients now with all the information there is around. I taught my gp that a tin of sardines a day is more than enough intake of calcium. I no longer need to take the calcium tabs with Vit D he prescribed me, which were awful, I had only used three and had thrown them away weeks ago. He prescribed Vit D pills that I can swallow.

My gp called the other day and put me on yet another OP drug as I could not tolerate the first two. I said, oh, that is the one in a powder form isn't it? He asked, how did I know that? I replied, from others on the same drug and by googling.

Have a good weekend and I hope you are sharing the sun with me :)

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

    Thanks Elna
I know what you mean, I think patients are much more knowledgeable than in the past and more armed to challenge doctors when they feel something isn't right. After all, no one knows our bodies like we do.
The sun certainly is a welcome sight after all that freezing cold weather!! Fingers crossed for more!!

    Awe Chrissie

That is so nice of you, I'm afraid not having been on the forum that llong myself I know what you feel like, the support and caring you get on here is second to none, I do try and put in as much as I get out and I'm sure you are the same. The thing about this forum as well is there are a lot of people on here with more than Arthritis so help and advice is at hand more ways than one, I second everything you say and thank you for posting this.............Marie xx
