Hi,
I was diagnosed with PsA & OA early in 2007 & take methotrexate for the PsA & severe Plaque Psoriasis, I also use paracetamol, Ibuprofen, Tramadol SR & now Butrans SR patches. (I have fibromyalgia as well)
I had some xrays done at my 1st appointment & from those I was started on the Methotrexate. Late 2012 I had a couple more xrays but I've never been offered an MRI scan or any other type of imaging proceedure. Is this common? I adore my Rheumatologist but I've been told she has left Baths RNHRD
Should I be asking/begging for an MRI etc or am I fine with a couple of xrays every decade? :? I would really love to know if mtx is working tbh, mainly because of these ever persistent chest infections but I don't want to come across as ungrateful or pushy!!
I'm in an awful lot of pain today, my entire body is on fire. I've got swollen joints but I seem to be in a fibro flare too.
I'm hoping to see my GP tomorrow. Does anyone have any advice please?
Sorry for the see-sawing questions, my head is all over the place, I haven't slept since yesterday morning!! (That's my excuse & I'm sticking to it lol)
Many thanks.

Hello Debbie
I have a good GP now, but i had to ask for an MRI..not sure if its down to cost or forgetfulness, but it was with coming on here that made me ask.
I have ended up having two on my back, and an ultrasound on my knee..they do show up so much more than xrays do.
I have also sent for a copy of the disc with them on, it does cost I think it is £10 for a disc.Love

Ure a gem
I thought as I was under a Rheumatologist it would have to be them rather than my GP that would have to refer me!! Good job I asked.Lol
Oohh I'd love to have a copy to see everything up close & personal, I find that sort of thing facinating.
Is there a way to have my whole body done in one go? I have it from my neck down to my toes & everywhere in between. I really hope the meds have been doing their job!!
Thank you BarbaraHealing Hugs
