I'm sure there must be some simple, effective exercises out there that help rather than harm arthritis sufferers. Has anyone had experience of a suitable DVD or set of exercises that have helped them - especially first thing in the morning, when joint stiffness/pain is at it's worst!

I have invested in a good second hand ex. bike, and can manage 10 minutes per day at the moment - although my knees are crying the next morning!!

My dream is to have a jacuzzi that will ease the aches and pains, but in a council home, I doubt this will ever happen!

I use the heat wraps that appear each birthday and Xmas, and find them a great source of comfort. Anyone any other ideas to deal with the dreaded A word!! Thanks!

Lacura :)

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.

If you have not already done so you could download the AC Exercise booklet or call the helplines and they will send you a copy in the post.

I have had back surgery and my surgeon suggested Tai Chi. The exercises are very gentle on the old bones. Might be worth looking in to :D

Yep, I must admit I got my excercises from the net. And Barbara was the one who suggested it. Even my physio suggested it. I shall be looking for some more as well.

    Hi
The first thing I would think about would be downloading the booklet on exercise from the arthritis care website.
Have you got a physio? Talk to him/her
