    Hello stigger
I am on the fentalis patches same thing another name....I had so much hope in them..but I have ended up taking the same amount of cocodamols with them....I am still giving them ago...has it only a month or so since I started on them...at first I felt quite sick...but that wore off after a couple of days...I am not unsteady on my feet..I think the worse side effect is constipation...I was used to this but it far worse on these.
Another thing is if you go abroad at all the insurance now ask have you been prescribed these...it has put my insurance up by a lot.good luck with them.
    Love

Hello Stigger. My GP tried me with them last year but I had to come off them. They gave me such terrible side effects and was walking around in a zombie-like state which I just couldn't cope with plus they didn't alleviate the pain for me, Hope u have better luck with them. You do need to increase dose gradually and, if you do ever need to come off them, decrease gradually as well. I know that some people on the forum find them helpful. Good Luck. Beryl

    Hi Stigger

I have been on them for a few years now. At first I started on a low dose and did feel a bit queasy for a day or so max.

I find them really good and am able to function totally normally. When I take cocos or tramadols I feel dizzy and icky sicky due to the 'burst' of the drug but the patches are there in the back-ground. I can take additional painkillers fro breakthrough pain as needed.

I think they aren't working sometimes and have 'come off them' but then it takes days/weeks to get ahead of the pain again.

I hoep they work as well for you :)

    love

    Hi stigger,

I've been on them about a month & I haven't had a single side affect yet except I'm getting really bad blistering of my skin. I'm not sure if that's because I have severe plaque psoriasis tho. I'm seeing my Dermatologist this week so I'm going to ask for her advice.

    Good luck.x
