Hi everyone,
not posted for a while, the last few weeks have been a nightmare, i had my Rheumy appt a few weeks ago and still waiting for X Ray results dispite numerous phone calls, also had appt at lung clinic for my COPD they did blood tests to check some things out, got a phone call from my GP surgery today the hospital contacted them and said i needed to have an injection as my anti bodies for my immune system and very low, i was just wondering if the low anti bodies are in any way associated with my OA, so got appointment Monday to have a chat with the Doctor and then got to go back later in the day to have the injection.
also my hubby has just been diagnosed with epilepsy so he's got to have an EEG and brain scan. he's also not allowed to drive, so i will have to do all the driving, only prob is i have only driven about 10 times in the last 5 years due to the OA in my feet hands and knees so i will have to see how things go. Sorry for waffling on, i just think will things ever get back to some form of normallaty.

Well you certainly have a lot to contend with at the moment! Bad things do, often seem to happen all at once. It's particularly bad luck, that both you
and your OH are having problems.
Good luck with the driving, I hope you can manage without too much pain and discomfort, or could you possibly get help from a friend or relative?
    I wish you well,
    Numpty

    Hi Numpty,
thanks for your support our relatives all live in London, so can't really ask them, and the friends that we have here in Devon not many of them drive so i will have to just bite the bullet and drive, only thing is i cant take pain meds while driving so will have to see how i go, we will work it out it's just another chapter in our lives. They have said if hubby does not have anymore seizures in the next 12 months he should be able to get his driving licience back (Lets hope this is the case)

hi maggsy , sorry to hear your hubby got epilepsy , hopefully they can control it pretty will

one thing I would say , I got RA & when first started it in mid 90s had to change my car to automatic + one with power stearing , most of us blokes prefer manual cars , like ego thing but would never go back & if you not got one would suggest trying it because its so much easier for those of us with arthritis
