I've been taking mirtazapine for depression for nearly four years. For me it was literally a life saver. When I was put on it I was only sleeping for one to two hours a night, that increased to six the first night I took it and has continued to be beneficial since. I notice if I miss a night because I don't sleep as well. It also really helped my mood and continues to do so.
After I was put on it, I did put on some weight, but I was also put on risperidone at the same time, which is notorious for weight gain. Mirtazapine is a great drug for me.
Good luck with it.0 -
