Heel Spur

Has anyone ever had an heel spur ? my grandaughter age 20 has one and she has seen the ortho bloke she is having a steroid injection if that doesn.t work he said he can operate any views please

    Hi, heel spurs are commonly caused by the plantar fascia being tight pulling on the bone they are attached to at the heel, I would suggest lots of deep tissue massage work on the sole of her foot and up into the calf muscles to loosen the tissues off and stop the irritation of the bone and hence heel spur. Also a gel insert should help her comfort.
    Seeing a good manual therapist should be of benefit.
