I just have the last bit of packing to do, clear the bins, wash up, turn the fridge down, you know the routines that we all do before we set off somehwere. I'll be back home on Monday and back here perhaps on Tuesday. I am not taking my netbook but I will think of you all from time to time.

I've written the eulogy and read it about ten times so that hopefully I can read it well on Monday. If I cannot then 'im indoors has said he'll step in.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you who have taken the time and trouble to reply on my thread. I've found that the death of the second parent is very different to the death of the first, maybe because when that happens the remaining parent needs you. Both our dads died within tem months of each other, our mums within six. How very odd. But then isn't life itself? Take care. DD

    I will be thinking of you DD. I think you are very brave reading the eulogy and I am sure you will read it well.

    I only had a Mom, and losing her was awful. She died three years ago today and I miss her everyday. I think, as a woman, losing your Mom is hard. Maybe that is the difference?

    You have your eulogy and you have your back-up plan and I’m sure you will do your Mum proud, DD.

    I didn’t contribute to your earlier thread, as I was away, but the wonderful support from our lovely forum members is both touching to read and well-deserved.

    You will do your mum proud DD i know you will, I took a chord at my mums funeral, it was my way of saying goodbye, you have your eulogy, you will find the inner strength to do it justice, my thoughts are with you all ((((())))) xx

    I'm so sorry I missed this DD and realise I am probably too late to add my deapest sympathy to you.
    I have a few words that you can read when you return.
    How do we thank the person that gave us life?
    How do we describe a person that looks at little devils and only sees angels?
    Who can peplace the person that shaped the way we are and think?
    How do we say goodbye to a Mothers love?
    We don't
    We picture her smile and relax with out memories.
