What a pain in the neck!
I've had flare ups in every joint but this pain in the neck is a new one. Difficult to turn, impossible to sleep and its bloody raining.

Can't do anything about the rain  As for the neck, I've just replied on 1940girl's thread. For me, it has to be a shaped memory foam pillow all the time but even that won't help if you have a saggy mattress so check that out too.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I have 3 different pillows...depending on how bad my neck is...and also told to use ice if swollen and heat if not...I do love my wheat cushion that you warm in the microwave..I use them before I do my exercises..and after...hope it eases for you very soon...and sorry we have sun but not very warm..

    Hi,

I have neck pain too, so I know what it feels like, I have quite often woken up on my front unable to move my head, so I was advised to do gentle exercises, just tilting my head from side to side, and back and forwards to loosen the joints. It may be worth trying. I am also following stickywicks advice and going to look for a shaped pillow.
