R.I.P Ray Harryhausen

Not a name everyone might know, but Ray Harryhausen has died at the age of 92. He pioneered special effects for many films over the years.
Jason & the Argonauts, Clash of the Titans and many more films he did the effects for.

    I heard this on the news earlier this evening - his was indeeed pioneering work and I hope that he receives the honours (and recognition) he deserves. DD

    Clash of the Titans is often shown on freeview and I still love to watch them just as I did growing up.



    There was a Harryhausen restaurant in the film Monsters inc. It must have been in honour of him.

    A good age 92. He certainly contributed immensly to film making.

    I missed this one Ron..must say I didn't know his name but my OH did..the effect used in Jason and the Argonauts was brilliant even in today standards
