I went to the doctors to get copies of letters from consultants and such for my NEW esa claim. I was shocked to find that the physiotherapist as stated that I have psychological limitations that were contributing to my on going problems..
now what the hell is that supposed to mean..it bloody well hurts when I walk so of course there is going to be some limitations.. but really..
so its all in my head then...

Hi
I'm sorry you've received this.
Its a bit late now but everyone you see you should ask to be "copied into their letters" then you can challenge them quicker and not have it bounced on you.
Do you not think that it possibly means that you could do with a course on "managing your pain" I know it wont go away. There are ways to help relieve it a bit......Query what that sentence means and see what comes from that
Good luck
Love

Hello
I just read your post my own experience with GPs , Consultants etc is they don't always take time too explain things to the patient and you end up leaving more worried than when you went in.
If you are not sure ask them to explain what certain phrases or abbreviations mean Better still take some one with you that you trust and get them to ask This has worked for me on a number of occasions

thank you all for the advice, I am seeing my gp in a couple of weeks so I will be asking him what this means. plus I will be asking all to be copied in the letters as that I get a copy. its so frustrating.

Hi,
I too get copied into all letters. It can serve you well.
I'm currently asking for my Dla to be looked at again. I was awarded highest mobility 5 yrs ago & lowest care which was for assistance with topical treatments of my Psoriasis.
My renewal was kept the same so I requested it was looked at again & I was awarded the same again but indefinitely. Well I still disagree with the care component so I've asked it to be looked at yet again & got medical reports from my GP & 2 Consultants. My Rheumy report contained things about my Arthritis I'd NEVER been told. Its much more severe & widespread than I'd ever been told ... It made so much sense regarding my added care needs!!
It was all posted on Tuesday so fingers crossed. But the lesson I learned was that we aren't always informed about our health to the extent we'd expect!! :? That's being CC'd into all letters too.
I'd definitely ask the physio to explain wot they meant by that sentence. Do remember you don't have to include it in your supporting evidence to ESA tho.
Best of luck.xHealing Hugs
