Hello folks just wondering if any one has had a spinal operation on their neck at all. I am due one mid 2013 to try and stop the pain from stenosis, I have researched a lot from the web but I would like to hear from some one who has had the op! Things like the % outcome, recovery times and has it helped.
Thanks folks Steve

I have, but for spinal compression so presumably it is not the same as you will be having. I still have some symptoms but I was never given to understand that they would all cease post op. The op really stopped further deterioration but as the spinal cord does not heal I am left with symptoms of imbalance at times and some days walking is much more of an effort than other days. I notice symptoms improved over 18 months post op which is exactly what the surgeon hoped would happen. As I said I was never given any guarantees except to stop further deterioration in that area.

The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

If you can lay down at night knowing in your heart that you made someone's day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day.
