Neck pain

I have RA in my neck. Because of my reaction to the last drug I'm currently not taking any meds. This past week my neck has been causing me quite a bit of pain. I am worried that the lack of control is going to damage my neck further. Damaged hands and feet are a problem but won't kill me. Should I be worried?

Hi Jen
In the short term you need to try to rest your neck as much as you can and take pain relief as you can and anti-inflams if you can. If a heat-bag helps maybe you can try that? Personally I ditched my 'proper' pillows the last time my neck was really bad and used a rolled up hand towel in my neck instead. I now have a shaped memory foam pillow.
If they haven't Xrayed your neck lately you could ask for one? At least they would know any damage there and the extent of it :?
Finally when will you be having your medications reviewed by the rheumy?
Love

Please don't give up at the first try if possible, also can u have a steroid I find they help quite a bit,0
