Thank you, especially Mig, for thinking of me. The butterflies are beginning to stir, I'm all packed and ready to go on the dot of 7 as ordered by 'im indoors. I'll be back on Tuesday. DD

You and you're hubby will be in my thoughts this weekend. I do so remember the feelings of when I had my mum and dad's ashes done.

Sending plenty of hugs of comforts.

You are in my thoughts DD. I have to collect my mums ashes yet. I do know where they shall be scattered..... in the garden attached to the Quaker Meeting House where the service to celebrate my mum's life took place on Friday. My dad's ashes were scattered there nine years ago.

Presumably you have travelled some distance as you are away for a few days. I hope you are ok.

    Hugs
    Elna x

Hello everyone. The scattering went well, the day was sunny, the birds sang and it was much more upsetting than I reckoned it would be (which took me aback). On the Sunday I met my cousin and aunt (Ma's younger sister) at the house to go through the copper box of photographs and we found some treasures, including all the gift tags from their December 1945 wedding. Mr DD came home on Sunday but I stayed down there, my friend W came from Ipswich for a trawl through the house because she does car boot sales to raise money for greyhound charities (Mum lived in Clutter Central  ). W had a whale of a time, I didn't but at least I've made a start on the clearing and I feel a little better for that. We filled her estate car with box after box after box. The greyhounds should do all right.

Thank you for your thoughts, they are much appreciated. DD
