May's having a tough time

I've had an email from a friend of May's who is a District Nurse and our lovely friend is going through a tough time presumably as a result of her latest, and final, chemo.

Her hands have to be dressed every day as she has lost nearly 7 of her nails and they are badly infected. They are badly swollen due to the OA and the infection. She is unable to feed herself and obviously unable to use the phone. She is in a lot of pain but, hopefully, with the antibiotics and the dressings, they are hoping this will not last too long. However, the skin will have to grow back.

May, I'm thinking of you very much but we don't want you back here until you are much, much better. (((())))
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Thank you for the update, Sticky, but am so sorry to hear that May is having such a rough time. Am thinking about her and wishing her well as soon as possible. If only all our thoughts could make her better. Am sending love and lots of very gentle ((((()))))
