Hi everyone, not posted in a while, although I do pop in.

I have OA/degenerative disc disease in my lumber spine, and OA in my knees, for the last few weeks, I have been having pain in my spine just above where my bra is, and my neck has become very crunchy, and I am getting pain in my shoulders into my arms and my neck is painful.....maybe OA has spread?

Does anyone have any ideas.

Gill

It might have, Gill, or it might simply be something muscular. We can't say. If it were me I'd make an appointment with the doc and maybe ask if a spot of physio would help.

Hi Sticky, thank you for you reply.

I will probably make an appointment next week.

I have been having physio since January for my lumber spine, I did tell her about pain further up, she got me to sit on couch and twist round each way I can turn one way but not the other.....but she didn't say why.

Maybe it's the physio exercises that are disturbing something. She needs to know. They might need altering.

Sticky has made a good point so its worth pursuing this. Any form of arthritis is degenerative and progressive but the rate of both is individual. I began with an auto-immune sort (psoriatic arthritis, aka PsA) which took a few years to spread; the joint damage from that has led to OA in both knees, both ankles and now my right hip (an unaffected PsA joint). My neck is also joining in - deep joy. Any joint that is thrown out of kilter or damaged will have a knock-on effect on other joints. DD

Thank you DD for your reply, :)

I guess I just don't want to accept it may be spreading.....I get pain in my ankles, fingers and hips as well, but feel a nuisance going to my GP even though she is very good.
