Found something to help with Arthritis

I presume we're talking about OA as I don't believe any creams do anything for the auto-immune types of arthritis. I'm pleased your friend has found something that helps but if he/she is on any medication they should check with the doc or pharmacist that it's OK to use.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

    Hi
No ...not seriously hurt ...just a lot of bumps bruises and aches to add to the ones we already have
Have had to cancel things....like a trip to Harrogate with Arthritis Care because I couldn't cope with the coach trip the way I felt.....
Silly man ...about 80.....came out of a side street ...I was on a broad main road {30mph} he came out of this street on my right side....across the road to the middle and continued and in to the drivers side of my car so I'm waiting for it to be picked up tomorrow{Mon} This happened last Tue but because I drove it 11 miles home {no option} they said there was no rush as it was driveable  I haven't got into it....I can see where he has pushed a bit of the wing one way and another bit the other way but its the bits I cant see that worry me

How odd that this original thread was 'modded' when lots of similar ones are left in place :?

Anyway, Hileena - I hope you're feeling much better. It must have been a nasty shock.

Mig - it's very kind of you but we both know that it's far too late to save me from 'doolallyness'

Anyway, I've decided that, if the thread is going to be attributed to me, I should answer it and I have, indeed, found loads of things to help with arthritis. Here are a few.

    Adaptability
    Books
    Cricket
    Distraction
    Easygoing attitude
    Friendship
    GPs
    Hydroxychloroquine
    Inspiration from others
    Jars of summat lovely
    Kindness
    Laughter
    Methotrexate
    Narcotics when all else fails
    Occupational Therapists
    Paindullers
    Quitting when one’s ahead
    Relaxation
    Surgery
    Tenacity
    Unshakeable optimism
    Volunteering
    Wheelchair
    Xercises
Yes (saying yes to as many experiences as possible)
    Zzzz at night

Take as many as necessary as often as possible (apart from the meds and surgery  ). No side effects apart from the odd spot of very worthwhile payback.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Sticky, going back to ur first post I do find that a certain anti inflammatory gel helps my ra a bit, unfortunately its short lived and rather expensive to treat all my aching joints but I will occ use it on my wrists/hands,
now if only I could get enough of it to fill the bath........ :o

Its this forum its off it's trolley it is, I loose posts and PM's I'e sent I also find it's almost impossible to log on somedays and it cant be due to over use its a bit of a back water these days since Len and Del were banished to the cyber space equivalent of Coventry, their passing show's that a "safe" forum is also a far less active and much more subdued to the point of being catatonic some days if you ask me, rules are there to make order from chaos but without a bit of chaos [text deleted] all happens a bit like parliament but I digress!, right then, chaos is the natural order of things as predicted by quantum mechanics, its how life evolved in the universe, its also why anything happens in the first place, if it (the universe) was all ordered then nothing would ever happen as nothing would ever interact a bit like on here these days, so we can see that this forum is living proof that the first law of quantum mechanics is correct, well done the forum MOD's you've proved that chaos theory was right all along how amazing is that?!, now how about dealing with the Durac equation?, is there anyway you can prove that the quantum foam truly exists and that matter and antimatter pairs do self replicate from it as dear old Prof Jim Alkahili postulated in his highly informative series "everything from nothing".

    PS
I know I'm sad but I'm to old to change honestly I am!

PPS As for me finding something to help with OA or RA I definitely have but I can't tell you as its not legal here (although it is in 18 US states, most of the EU, Canada, Australia and South America but not here as its naughty) otherwise I'd probably get thrown off here like the two amigo's were so I wont go there just now but trust me its coming I can feel it in me bones!

    Hi Sticky, Joan, and Numpty
I'm gradually getting over the extra aches and pains thanks.
The car was taken away this morning and I was picked up about an hour later and taken to the hire car company to pick up a car....black Seat Ibiza
I was worried because I'm so used to my little Nissans that I dreaded getting a bigger car but its quite nice to drive.

We are off to the Lakes for a couple of days from tomorrow morning
See you when I get back
    Love
    Hileena
