Hello everyone. I am facing a diagnosis of RA, on my second set of bloods and been referred to specialist. It's all a bit new and daunting at the moment. You all seem well informed and pretty chilled. I hope that you will bear with me when I start to ask pretty dumb/ill informed questions. I hope to be able to lean on you lot for answers and support.
First time I've been on any forum too!
Catherine

Hello Catherine. It's good to meet you but, as we say here, sorry you had to find us. Of course it's all new and daunting for you right now. Some of us have had years in which to become 'well-informed and chilled' :) I hope we'll be able to help if you have any questions though, unfortunately, we don't have all the answers. If only

I think this is the one and only forum that many of us have ever been on. I hope you'll soon feel at home here.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Hi Catherine, welcome to the forum. :D
Weekends are always a bit slow, but I'm sure others will be along soon.
Ask all the questions you need to, there is usually someone with the experience to give a well informed answer.
It can be quite daunting to get a diagnosis of Arthritis, but I'm sure you'll soon come to terms with it, and learn, (as we all have to,) to pace yourself and adapt to a different way of life.
I look forward to seeing you post in the future.
    Take care,
    Numpty

    Hi Catherine,

Welcome to the forum. I have only recently joined it even though I have been reading the posts for some time. I have had RA for 13 years now and still remember feeling very anxious when I was first diagnosed. It is all a bit daunting but you will get plenty of help and advice here whenever you need it and from people who can really know what you are talking about. No question is ever dumb and we were all very ill informed in the beginning. As Sticky says, we don't have all the answers but we do all have our experiences and an understanding of what you are going through.

    See you around!
