Had my last physio session today after 3 months. My TKR is doing ok although I can only get 70% bend but all the other boxes were ticked strength of muscles etc. Got to keep doing the bending exercises and maybe when all the swelling has gone I may get more bend still I am driving now only take a couple of pain killers a day and can do most of my daily chores so there is an improvement after the revision. Just got to sort my shoulder out now I think my frozen shoulder is returning so that will be a year coming on a year static and a year going better if the last time was anything to go by. But for now I am free 5 operations thats 4 replacements and a manipulation in 6years is enough for any one its catch up time now how say you.Wendy

Well done to you on getting so far and with getting on so well. I reckon you have been, are being and will be a patient patient so your 'rewards' are beginning to arrive, just when you need them. Don't stop doing your exercises - physio can only do so much then after that it's up to us to keep up the good work despite knowing that no-one will be checking.

You are right, enough is enough so keep up your good work and shake off those arthritic shackles as much as you possibly can. Well done, Wendy. DD

Woo hoo! Well done, wendgro, and top marks for perseverance. I still do my quads daily just to keep what I have in terms of muscle :o and movement. I hope yours will continue to improve. As for more surgery - I'm sure you've had enough for now. Never say never but, if you can manage without it, I'm sure you'll want to.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
