Self Referral to Respiratory Team

Hi,
Just a quick update.
I rang to book with the respiratory team this morning & it's up to a 14 week wait before I'll see the specialists. I was really hoping it would be quicker but that's life. I'll see if my new Rheumy can help in anyway in between now & then.
Thank you for the great advice & support over the last few days. Hugs.x

Did you say that you could take a cancellation? It's always worth making that point (if it's a possibility). I have had almost instant MRIs and lung function tests etc because I live just a three minute drive from the hospital. Anyhoo, the 14 weeks will soon pass and I hope they see you then. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

It may be worth calling rheumy team to ask for referral- that's how I got referred to respiratory and saw them within a month. On the plus side, though I now take daily antibiotics I haven't had a chest infection for 6 months and am able to restart methortrexate which has hugely helped my RA.
Hope that you get the help you need really soon.
