Karen has a rheumatology appointment for herself tomorrow but is also taking her son to the hospital for tests as he's been having very bad pains in his knees and has to have a blood test and x-rays.

Karen been quietly having a rough time on several fronts recently so I do hope all is well with Master Fowls48 but maybe a bit of moral support wouldn't go amiss.

Blood tests are not pleasant but also they're not too bad or last too long. Tell him not to watch and divert him by talking about his favourite thing whilst it's happening. I am sure he will be fine. Let us know how you both get on, yes? DD

I reckon that our crunchy jaws and neck sound loud to us because our ears are not that far away. I remember shouting at everyone when I was five (and had had a mastoid operation) because my ears were swathed in bandages and I couldn't hear myself speak.

I am pleased that your lad came through OK - good for him - and I am sorry that your appopintment didn't go so well. Isn't tennis elbow another term for inflammation? We do tread tricky pathways at times. DD

Well done, Ted. I hope that he test results are good. As for you, karen, I'd say you have arthritis  and it'll do its own thing as and where it wants to. I hope you have better results from the dentist's check.

Aww, I'm glad he was so brave :)

I hope you get more answers in October. It's frustrating this arthritis malarky isn't it :? X
