Hi
A total waste of time
No steroid injection even though they suggested it last time
Reason why as there is a higher risk 2% higher than methotrexate for the wound not to heal, that I didn't realise and maybe they didn't until after last appointment
So have to wait now till middle of July to see Orthopaedic consultant to see if he is happy for me to start sub cut methotrexate
The rheumy has written out the prescription for the Rhuemy nurse to start after Ortho appointment
Need to ring her tomorrow as I'm confused I have appointment for end of August but need to start methotrexate before
So it looks like I have to plod along with pain as usual
Will let you know what rheumy nurse says tomorrow

Aww Maria I am sorry, you go along with these expectation that they will help you, not much to ask....I do hope the appointment in July will go well...sorry I cant help more, but I will be thinking of you..((((())))xxLove

Hi all
Thank you for your replies
Wazz I'm taking Tramadol 100mgs S/R morning and evening, Paracetomol 1gm four times a day, Amitriptyline 25mgs at night plus Eterocoxib 90mgs daily
So other than OxyContin and morphine there's little else
Did go to a pain clinic 3 years ago and all he did was increase my bupronorphine patches which were doing nothing for me
My rheumy nurse rang yesterday didn't realise till I saw message on answer phone she's really good and totally on the ball plus I had worked with her many years ago when I was a student nurse and she was a newly qualified staff nurse so I have every faith in her
Will let you all know how I get on

Well I'm starting sub cut methotrexate end of July
Just waiting for information pack to come through then an earlier appointment with rheumy nurse hopefully I can combine it with my orthopaedic appointment so don't have to make two journeys as its a 50 mile round trip

I really hope that helps Maria. I'm pretty new on here n it's the 1st time uve seemed disheartened .. That's pretty amazing mind you Keep battling & hoping for the best & I'll keep cheering from the side lines ((((hugs)))) xHealing Hugs
