The announcement, at the top of the page, about requiring people with OA in the knee to help with a survey? Arthritis Care get £4 for each participant.

It seems a very easy way for some of us to repay AC for all the help and pleasure we get from these forums.

I don't think my TKRs will qualify but I'd certainly go ahead if I were eligible.

I'm plugging it here, though, because there are so many 'announcements' up there these days it's hard to spot a new one.

I did see it and I will be participating. That was a good thought mentioning it down here too. DD

I've just completed it so £4 should soon be winging its way to AC. There will be follow-up questions once a month for three months which is no problem. DD

I've completed it, people with arthritis in hips can also complete the survey.

    Thanks for this, Sticky.

I do have arthritic knees, but I only take paracetamol at the moment. I was thinking about talking to my GP about pain relief when I see him on Thursday. As well as my knees, my hands are really bothering me this week, especially the stupid thumb - which is painful, even though I've had the steroid injection - and the little finger on my right hand, which is tender and lumpy. If we agree on co-codamol, I'll do the survey.

    Thanks for the heads-up, s/w :)

I logged in to complete the survey, but it turns out that I don't qualify because I don't take any of the specific pain meds listed -- I take co-dydramol rather than co-codamol.

Oh well -- it was worth a go!

    Best wishes,
