What I thought was bad headaches & upset tummies has manifested it's slef into a flare up! Why didn't I see it the usually signs, feeling very tired, headaches, upset tummy? And boom! Yesterday joint pains join in!! I was good yesterday and took a break from the computer and rested (well slobbed!!). Had a nice siesta in the afternoon snuggled with Arnie & Willow. But last night had 2hrs sleep may have been slightly less! Thank goodness for books! Got a hair appt this afternoon so don't need to do much with that. Thought I was doing pretty well, never mind they always catch up with you!!

If it is a flare it may have been triggered by the bug you had, or it could just be one of those things. I hope the hair appointment goes well - that is always a fillip to one's mood, no? DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Hi Bubba;
Sorry you're in flare mode. I do that too; get well into signs I know mean a flare but I don't clue in until it really hits.
Are Arnie and Willow your cats? My cat phoebe loves it when I'm down with a big flare and she can lounge with me. She grew up with me like that so thinks it's normal. Don't no what I'd do without her though.
Feel better soon.

Hi everyone thanks for the messages. Saturday I hit a wall because I hadn't had no sleep and became exhausted for a couple of hours so had a lie down. I had a lie down on the settee in the evening with a tube of lactose free frozen yoghurt (yummy!!) and watched a film. Went to Bed Saturday night and still couldn't sleep because my legs went into spasm and it was extremely painful. So started another book! Eventually dosed off for a couple of hours. Last night I slept through the night! Hurray!! Still suffering with Legs & back this morning. Oh well it's part and parcel of life with Arther!0

Hi Anna, Yes Arnie & Willow are our 6mnth old Kittens who are growing fast and are a handful but we love them!! They are very sweet when they come and snuggle up with me when I'm in bed.0 -
How lovely! They are so much fun aren't they? Mine climbed the living room curtains until they got too heavy. Curtains are still scarred five years later. They still have bouts of kittenish behavior now and then. A very happy time when we got our two sisters0

My two love swinging from bedroom curtains and attacking each other! They love to chew the curtains as well! Willow has a mad 5 minutes and buck-a-roo's which is funny to watch! They make my bad days much easier.0 -
Had a bad day yesterday sorry wasn't about. Been getting bad headaches on and off for 3 weeks so was very worried when I had another one so spoke to a G.P from my doctors surgery and suggested to them that I increase my Propanonal med up as it said you can do this on the leaflet because I thought I could have become immune to the dose I was on. She agreed with me but said if there was no difference to come and see her early next week which I agreed to. And my hands where really sore as well as my back. Over all a pretty rubbish day!!0

Hi Bubbadog;
I hope the increase in propanolol helps; please post back and let us know if it does. I didn't know it could help with headaches. I take it too.
Hoping you're having a better day,

Hi all, So far so good with the increase in propanolol. Had a headache in the afternoon but that was caused by stress (will tell you about cause of stress in separate topic!).Anna I have non-Epileptic- Seizures caused by stress which also cause bad migraines and was prescribed Propanolol to help with the migraines and it was helping up to 3 weeks ago.0

Hi Bubbadog;
That sounds awful. I hope your symptoms settle down soon. Are Arnie and Willow taking good care of you at least?0 -

Arnie & Willow have been so great, they come with me for a lie down if I need one and stay with me till I get up, watching them play is so funny, they have their own personalities which shows Willow is the instigator in everything a real little tomboy and Arnie is the laid back one, he reminds me of Austin Powers except he isn't a womaniser!!0 -
It's funny that having a cat (or 2) can fill the loneliness gap so well. Sorry Bubba, I've kinda of steered your thread toward talking about kittens! :oops:
Mine, even at five years are still such great company and make sure I exercise my silliness every day! Right now they think the greatest things are the rainbows thrown by a crystal hanging in the window. They are jumping on, and attacking the reflections as they move around on the bed (I give the crystal a good spin to get them going), or up the walls. The laughs I have watching them really take my mind off the joints for a little while (there, back on topic ). Well, until there is a tired ten pound feline draped over an ankle or knee, bending it the wrong way Or, stretching and requesting the human reach an impossible distance to scratch a chin or cat-armpit. They are so stretchy and malleable and I'm so envious!
Mine really have amazing personalities too; one is apt to get so wound up she will end up chasing her tail until she has to lie down due to dizziness The other will run madly crashing over anything to get her target. It gets really mad around here if a moth or other poor insect makes it inside the house; nothing is safe. They're pretty crazy and really seem to play up to an audience. They were like that when they were babies too.
Ok, well I guess I have to talk about the boring old joints again now. Hope you are feeling better, how are you today? Is your headache better yet?
xxAnna0
