Hello,
Hope everyone has had a some nice times in the summer weather, although I expect most people here, including me found the heat a bit much.
I'm back from my stay with my sister and we had a lovely time! We had great weather too, which was too hot sometimes, but we managed.
We got back late Sunday after a 4 hour drive. I've been feeling down since as I seem to have got a little flare going on, which doesn't surprise me in this heat and with all the extra walking and travelling. Still today, I feel a lot better and I think the air is clearer and not so humid, which always makes me feel odd. Yesterday,I almost fainted after going out to the drive and sitting in the car, then quickly coming in because of the rain, but it soon wore off, I'm not a fainty sort of person so it was quite disturbing for a few moments.
Anyway, we had a nice time and it was so good to see my sister and family, and travel round the area - its near the coast and New Forrest so pelenty to do! Thats all really, Love Sue

Hi Sue,
I’m not sure we've 'met', but I perked up at your mention of the New Forest as I stayed there myself a few years ago and I loved it! Welcome back and well done for coping through the heat. I've had a bit of a flare-up too, but it's been raining on and off today, which is a great relief. I hope you continue to feel a bit better.
Best wishes,

The New Forest is a lovely place, I've known it all my life as my sister is 17 years older than me and married and moved to the South Coast when I was 6. We've always been a close family, though and visit several times a year, if possible, she comes to us and then we go to them and spend ages on the phone chatting. My husband and hers both have similar intersest (natural history) so I'm lucky, they like to spend time together.
One of the funny things is that I only found out recently is that my mothers Grandfather had a farm in the New Forest. I knew my Mum came from a tiny village in Wiltshire and her father had moved from Hampshire, complete with farm animals on the old dovers tracks. Now I know he came from a village in the New Forest called (we think) Ibsley!
Sorry to go on off the subject. Love Sue xxx0 -
That's interesting, Sue
Much of the charm the New Forest holds for me is those beautiful farm animals wandering freely alongside woods and towns – ponies, donkeys, and even cows in some places. I read a few guidebooks about it all while I was there, but I've forgotten most of it now. (I was there for my 30th birthday, so a lot of it's a blur )
Hope you're well today,
