hey, haven't written for a while as i started humira and its beeen amazing, iv been on my legs all day, working 12 hr shifts, up and down stairs.
anyway when i started my methotrexate last year i would get skin absceses in my groin now and again when i started or changed dose. when i started the humira the other week i got another small one. they have always gone by themselves. but last night i developed a big one on my chin. but its about 2cmx2cm. have to hope it just goes away again. at the moment its not too visible on the outside, its just painful and hard. it must be the drugs again
has anyone else ever had anything like this?

Hi Lizzy
I get these too with the immunosupression. It's great fun isn't it?!
I have currently got one in my groin which is about the size of a grape but the last one ended up the size of a cricket ball. Unfortunately they always seem to be in places that are tucked away. I have previously rung the gp saying please help my **** has exploded!
No suggestions of help sorry! Will be VERY interested if anyone else has any suggestions.0 -
oo thats interesting. sometimes i have popped them if they will pop but alot of times they wont. iv never had them as big as a cricket ball though! its gross isnt it. anyway fingers crossed they havent needed draining so far. i was wondering if being on an antibiotic might help but then they dont go well with my stomach  yea i tried to ring my doc today just to see if there was some cream or something but the evil receptionists said hes not taking anymore calls today. er ok thanks for that since i only had those 2 hours off work!. might write them a note, lol0

I was put on 2 different antibiotics for the cricket ball but usually they don't need it. A lot of the time they are blind and don't come to anything but they can leave a scar. My consultant saw them and said they can be related to the RA but after googling (dangerous) the only thing that helps is to have the condition under control (fat chance).0
