    Hi again :)

I'm afraid I've no experience of any operations regarding arthritis but hopefully someone with knowledge will be along to chat b4 too long!!
It's unusually quiet at the moment.

I've not had foot surgery either though several people on here have. I think mostly they just got better and disappeared from the forum. I hope you get better too but please don't disappear

Hi I had a bunion joint replacement, went in as a day patient, had it done with local anesthetics, some initial swelling, a little discomfort at first, hobbled around for a few weeks, no regrets at having it done, pain free . now waiting for hip replacement, good luck........

    Hello Angie
I had a triple fusion 2 years ago. the pain was just below my toes I had my big toe straightened as well my foot was in plaster for 13 weeks I could not put any weight on it for 6 weeks and then just a little for the rest of the time. I don't regret it.i have not got the pain I had plates and screws put in.
    take care.

Thank you all. Now one week after surgery. It was done under general and they also popped a local anaesthetic in the foot -had one of the best nights sleep for a long time!! Everything is going good. See consultant on Wednesday for follow up.

Fusion sounds really bad op!! Lots of leg elevation seems to help.

Good luck with the hip joint!

    Best wishes all.
