It's my 1000th post and I feel cautiously optimistic.
I got a phone call saying I've been approved for my first anti-TNF (cimzia) and it's being delivered next week. I also had a 120mg steroid depo last week and the difference in my swelling is incredible. I can wear shoes again!
Everyone at my clinic (rheumy, both rheumy nurses and physio) has been very positive saying they've seen very good results and I am feeling positive but cautiously so. They've said to me that they've seen patients who've had their lives changed and I'm so desperate for that to happen to me too. I never imagined that I'd end up so disabled by my condition but I'm hoping that a better future is out there for me. That said, whatever happens, I am ready for it!

Many congratulations on ure 1000th post Starburst
I'm really pleased uve been OK'd for anti tnf treatment I've heard many get a great amount of relief from them. (I'm in year 6 mtx treatment) However, like ureself I'm sure, I've also heard of some that it isn't as successful with!! I'll be keeping everything crossed that ul fall into the former category
I desperately need a depo in both GTBs & it feels like most of my body at the moment, it was January I last had any. The slots for them at the hospital are always so full :? I'm glad you've had such good relief from ures tho
((((hugs)))) xHealing Hugs

Well done, Sophie, on reaching the 1,000 club
I hope very much that the cimzia works. You deserve it.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
