hi to you all, l have returned from seeing the consultant today, who told me my left hip has got worse in the last 2 years, he put me on the waiting list for a T H R . l am realy nervous about it being done , can anyone tell me what to expect, is anyone glad the had it done ? ...

I had my hip done 17 years a go I don't regret it. i'm waiting to see the consultant to see about my other hip.

If you put 'hip surgery' into Arthritis Care's search engine you'll find their very comprehensive leaflet on it is top of the left side. For me the worst bit is sleeping on my back for 6 weeks. That apart it's all good. Just do your exercises before and after to help the supporting muscles help you.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
