I haven't posted for a good while as I have had a bad year  It all started in December last year with my father who was having trouble sleeping with neck pain he was in his late 60`s. I thought it as strange as he has never had problems with his bones and he struggled on and on and in the end I had to get an ambulance for him where he was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with bone cancer.

To cut the story short he died just 4 weeks later in January, Apparently the cancer was in his pelvis, spine, ribs and neck. Up to this he was as healthy as can be and showed no signs or symptoms.

He spent 3 weeks on a hospital ward and managed to get a place into the hospice who were really fantastic and did a brilliant job to keep him comfortable for the 5 days he was there.

It was an really big shock and he took it so well and was so brave that I cant put it into words, he even talked about the songs he wanted played at his funeral  which was hard.

I have made a few posts over the last few days but just wanted to let you know why I been away its just been a difficult 8 months.

Hope everyone is doing ok :)

I extend my condolences. I've had two bereavements this year and my husband one last October. It's tough, no? Of mine one was expected (my agéd Ma in April) but the second, my cousin's, came out of the blue in mid-July; it was, and still is, a total shock. We had his funeral last Wednesday.

These are not easy times for you, I do understand, and I am so sorry. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben
