    Hello Toots I can't speak for sulf only methotrexate but for me the side effects are different every week like a bit of nausea one week none the next. I rek your body could still be adjusting to it. If you were to become overly concerned ring your rheumatology helpline :)
    How am I gonna be an optimist about this?

    Thanks Kittkat x I do suspect that's what it is, but being new to this wasn't sure and of course I know everyone is different! Not yet got a rheumy so may give my gp a call to be on the safe side x

    Hi Toots;

    This is very interesting as I am on day three of sulfasalazine and I'm suffering a sore throat and sinuses. It's mild and I was just wondering if it was the drug or if I've picked up a virus. Haven't decided yet.

    Take care of yourself and feel better soon ((()))

    Hi Toots,

    I've been taking sulph for 8 years and still find that I have bouts of tummy problems which disappear if I leave the sulph off for 24 hours- probably shouldn't do it without ringing the rheumy nurse but by the time you get a call back it's sorted and so I've taken to listening to my body and trusting my instinct with it.

    It's probably worth chatting to your GP if you don't have a rheumy yet.

    Hey Anna x Yeah I got all paranoid about it before because it's one of those things listed as 'call your doctor!' lol. He told me it was the meds but to try to push on past it, which I did. Thought once I was over the sore throat that would be it. It's an odd one, it's one of those sore throats (and ear actually) that's barely there and no more. Enough to irritate and niggle but not what I'd ever consider a 'proper' sore throat, if you get my gist. That, and the nausea and the headaches lol. Hang on in there, I hope it works for you xxx

    Thanks Deb x That's really interesting, I really didn't think that it would still cause issues years down the line! Huh, you live and learn! You're right tho, good to learn to listen to your body and adjust accordingly, but since I'm not long down this road I'm doing as I'm told!

    Hugs to you both x
