Hi everyone
I had my rheumy appointment at 09.30 this morning all done and dusted including a trip to phlebotomist and back home 22miles away by 10.30
How good was that!
I've had a injection of Depo too and told to rest for 48 hours which I am doing
Plan is to continue on usual meds stay on same dose of meto ject
Observe to see how long the steroid lasts was 10 days last time
Continue on monthly bloods
Review in clinic in 2 months unless any problems and see Rheumatology consultant in 4 months
All so simple plus she answered all my questions and I had quite few
So a very rewarding appointment
Maria :)

Well that sounds all very straighforward and efficient. I've found that often the nurses are better than the rheumatologists, somehow they seem to be able to make more time for the patients. DD
Have you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben

Sounds like a very efficient appointment, I often find that appointments early in the morning are generally on time and efficient. I try to avoid afternoon appointments as they often run late, which is understandable.

Pretty good appt from what it sounds, I agree the Rhummy nurses seem to spend more time with you than the Rhumatologists. I have a fantastic Rhummey nurse, I can call her on the office number or I have her mobile so I can call her any time with anything.

Ooh you are so lucky - the one appointment I had with a rheumy nurse I drove the 140 mile round trip to the hospital and had the sum total of 5 minutes with her, during which everytime I mentioned anything she said "if it gets worse see your GP". Total waste of time, and the long drive set me back a few days too!!!!
