I believe you can always ask for copies of letters to the GP though I never have done. I hope all goes well both today and for the op.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Good luck with it and I hope the op isn't moved again. Of course you can ask to be copied in but don't expect to understand them because they will be written in that particular language called 'Doctor'. Please let us know how you get on. Hi
I'm sorry I've not been online much and am only seeing your thread now
Hope it goes well this afternoon.
If you ask the receptionist can you be copied into all the letters she'll make a note and ask you to sign it....at least that's what my hospital does.
I don't think you can be specific and ask for the ones to your GP
If you are copied into letters from a certain person you'll get all the letters he writes......I can get them from the orthopaedic surgeon....to the GP....possibly to the Back specialist or the pain clinic or whoever else he decides to write to.
I keep some of them and scrap some of them

well the pre op went well, Monday is still ago, and I have told them in no uncertain terms I want to be knocked out , be damned if they are doing it with me still awake.
when I get there 7.am on Monday I ask to be copied in to getting a copy of the letters.
thank you everyone for your support.0 -
Good luck for Monday - I agree with the knocking out thing! DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0

Thank you for your words of comfort. feeling a tad nervous to say the least, I don't do hospitals well, been up since 2.50 this morning and all ready now for pick up at 6.15. got my phone charged and my tablet ready so at least I will not be too bored waiting..
see you all on the other side. I do hope this works as a 50/50 chance is better than no chance.

I think it all went well, thye trimmed medial cartilage and smoothed the back of the knee cap and flushed out the joint. Cant put too much weight on my right knee yet. Spent most of the night trying to get comfortable, so its safe to say I have not slept much.
Thank you all for your good luck wishes, it means so much.

TBH I am not really feeling any real difference, but I think its still too early to tell one way or the other, sleeping a real pain though :P as its very uncomfortable having the covers ontop of my knee.
still life goes on xx0 -
Onwards and upwards, Stephen. I hope you'll find, in time, the pain lessens. If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
