    Arthritis knows when we're down and relishes the opportunity to give us another kick or five hundred. :roll: The 'good' news is that gall stones can be easily fixed and the effect is instant, so I hope you get some proper treatment for them soon. Others on here have had gall bladder trouble and once it's sorted have felt so much better. Be sensible now, spoil yourself a little and I hope things ease soon. DD

    Hi
    I know that feeling all too well
    I ended up in A&E a few years back with severe chest pain but not the heart attack pain! All I wanted was a little dose of morphine as my tramadol wasn't touching it
    But ended up having 1ecg at home 3 in the ambulance to hospital and 1 in the A&E dept all stating your hearts normal! I said I know that! I've been telling you all! Had blood tests all normal chest X-ray showed arthritic changes so by 7 am after been there since 2am they let me go home and I never did get any morphine :roll: they let me go home to my snugly bed and my snugly and I slept the day away!
    I'm sorry they found gall stones they can cause so much pain
    I hope you are snuggled down and resting
    Maria :)

    So sorry to hear this destiny, not like you don't have enough to be going on with.

    I was diagnosed with gall stones after a couple of attacks - the pain of which I wouldn't wish on anyone. I stuck to a super-low fat diet for the 9 months wait I had to have it removed and lost a bucketload of weight (which I've since regained). That diet saved me having any more attacks and while I was fed up with restrictive eating, I was happy not to be in that kind of pain again. I hope you get some respite from the arthritis soon and that you can control your gallbladder in the meantime x

    Hi Destiny;

    The pain from gallbladder attack is terrible isn't it? I have this too and had a terrible year of repeating attacks last year. After several trips to hospital emergency rooms, the docs decided I was not to have surgery, so I have to manage mine with diet. The pain and nausea have trained me to be super-careful with my diet but every now and then I just have to eat chocolate or something else I shouldn't. Seafood, fruit and veg work best for me. Pork, turkey, beef are mostly out. Chicken is ok once in a while. Hope your diet doesn't have to be as restricted as mine is. It's very tiresome and boring.

    Hope yours is straightforward and easily fixed.
    Best wishes,

    Anna

    Hi Destiny, I know about Gall stones all to well! My pain woke me when I was sleeping! This was a good 18yrs ago! My OH jumped out of bed as I was doubling up in bed! I went to the G.P's next morning only for them to call an ambulance and whisk me off to hospital they thought I had appendicitis but the scan showed I had impacted Gall Stones and one had blocked my liver. So I had to have an operation next morning to have my Gall bladder out and the Gall Stone lazered blocking my liver to break it up. I never knew pain like the pain of the impacted Gall Stones. So feel for you at the moment, hope the antibiotics work and you feel better soon.
