Witty responses to "why are you on crutches?"

I've returned to university, thus prompting lots of questions about my use of crutches. Now, don't get me wrong, I know that people are caring and kind, so I'm not trying to be mean or sarcastic. However, I need some more interesting responses. This was suggested by an old school friend who I had not seen for about 10 years telling me that I needed a good story when people ask. I ran a couple by him which he thought were good, although he did think my "injured while sky diving" retort may not be believed. How rude! :lol:

So I turn to you, my AC friends, for some suggestions please? :D

    I don't think anything could top ichabod's suggestion. :lol: My humble efforts are listed below.

    1. Purely for fun.

    2. Why aren't you?

    3. This way I get others to carry my stuff.

    4. I'm too lazy to walk unaided.

    5. Why shouldn't I be?

    6. I can hide stuff in 'em. :wink:

    I say my crutches or stick cant stand up on their own so I have to help them. one young boy said you have long arms.

    How about

    Four legs are better than two.



    I use a rollator and when people ask me why (doesn't happen often) I say that my Rolls Royce is being serviced. Most people have laughed, but a few have looked offended that I haven't taken them seriously. :roll:

    I would indeed feel very, very lonely without my crutches. At least I have someone to talk to AND the kinky advantage of a threesome!
