Oh Mig :( I hope you could at least blame it on a couple of birthday drinks to have made it worthwhile! Seriously, I hope you start to feel less sore very quickly - don't be upset honey, it happens, to anyone and everyone. Huge huge gentle hugs xxx

Oh mig, am so sorry to hear about your tumble and do hope you will be feeling a little better soon. It's so easily done. It shakes you up so much. Do rest as much as you can.

Oh hon, that sounds nasty and it is so easily done. One small lapse in concentration can lead (literally) to our downfall. I know from bitter experience it's best, once down, just to lie there and gather one's thoughts until some equilibrium is restored, and only then start the process of getting up. Put some witch hazel on the bruise and lump, and take things easy over the next couple of days. ((((())))) DD

    Ouch
Bet that hurt your pride too
I fell down the stairs in top shop, earlier this year all I was bothered about was if anyone saw me
If you had had a tipple or two you might have not hurt yourself
    Take it easy

Hope you're feeling less bruised and twittish now Mig! :?
Next time you go out make sure you have a preventative drink or three first, and always carry an emergency supply of lycra
    Rest up and take care.

Yup, I blame the lack of alcohol too, Numpty. In the last 8 years or so I have fallen twice and, on both occasions, was stone cold sober.

    Bottoms up, mig

(My secret serious side hopes you're recovering by now.)

Oh dear- hope that you're feeling better today. Time for a bit of pampering and self indulgence while the bruises settle.

Is Bletchley Park where the code breakers were in WW2, Enigma etc? I think we'd find that fascinating but it may be too far to travel ... We're in Wiltshire.

Glad you're recovering from your fall Mig. There must be something in the air in MK, I fell off my bike on Tuesday. I still don't know how it happened, I stopped where the cycle path crosses the road because there was a car coming, and just toppled over! I've stopped in the exact same place loads of times with no trouble! Still just shaken and not stirred!

Oh dear, chookgate, these things do happen out of the blue, don't they? Had you taken your stabilisers off? When I was at college I knew a lad who was a keen motorcyclist, the old types complete with side-car. One day he pulled up at some traffic lights and, forgetting he had removed the side-car for repairs, fell elegantly sideways. I hope you are not tooo bruised and yes, these things can shake us up.

Mig? How are things now? DD

Thanks for your concern, appreciated. It was quite a slow motion fall, and although I bumped my head I had my helmet on, and otherwise only a minor scrape on the side of my knee. My TKR seems totally unaffected, thank goodness. I wasn't even bruised, which is a big improvement on the last time I fell off (pre TKRs). I can only conclude I must have forgotten to take my foot off the pedal -
