Sorry to hear you're struggling. At least the hospital are on the ball and tackling things before it can get worse. Hope all goes well.

As for me, mid flare and miserable-but it will pass, all things do eventually.

    Hi Destiny,

Sorry things are difficult for you at the moment. I agree with the others, though – it's good that your mole is being dealt with and I hope that'll be something less to worry about.

I'm copying and pasting DD's post from the duplicate thread here (hope that's okay, DD), to merge responses:

Oh dear, I am sorry to read this, it is tough when things take a downward turn. It can (and sadly does) happen and then we are faced with adjusting a little more to our increasingly reduced circumstances. You are sensible in using the chair (I understand it won't feel like that, it may feel like a defeat) because you will be able to go out for longer and further but that ain't the point, yes? This should happen to other people and not you, I guess we all feel like that from time to time. Take care and I hope the skin trouble isn't too serious. DD

I use a wheelchair too. It's a powerchair, as my shoulders, arms, wrists etc. are too painful for me to wheel myself and I like being independent! I didn't need one until an accident in hospital left me with a permanent deformity to my right knee. Picking up on DD's post, I feel positive about my chair because without it I wouldn't be able to go out at all, but I appreciate that I started using it due to the accident and not to a downward turn in my arthritis, which I know I'd find more difficult. I hope that makes sense, maybe :)

    Best wishes,
    Phee

I'm sorry about the mole. I do hope the treatment is successful. As for the arthritis, yes I'm sorry about that too but I do agree with phoenixe. My wheelchair has been a positive thing and opened up lots of new possibilities for me.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Sorry you are in so much pain and about the mole. I hope you get some good treatment and that the Arthur improves a bit.I don't have a chair but I have been thinking that it can improve things a lot and my friend who is in a wheelchair (electric) gets places much quicker than us
    Take care x
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?

    Hi again Destiny,

I hope the change of dressing went well – you're right, you don't need an infection as well as everything else! I've got a heavy cold today, which might explain my rambling contribution to this thread yesterday , but my hot lemon and honey is helping :)
