MRI's, CAT Scan and Airports?

I've forgotten every single time to ask my surgeon whether after having fusion surgery and now having screws and staples in my body, whether when I go through airport scanner and have MRI or CAT scans, would that cause a problem.

Would anyone know?

I really need a new medi alert as I have other medical problems which means I have to wear one and I've always wondered whether I should get metal work in both feet on it?

What I'm more curious about is whether if I ever have to have an emergency MRI, will that cause problems if they don't know about the metal work in my feet?

Thanks :)

My knees and hips set off airport scanners but I have the advantage of looking[[ as if they probably do

I've had a hip MRI while possessing two TKRs but, when I'd to have a dexa scan, they'd to take care to avoid the THRs. I think this means it's complicated and you should check out your own situation.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

I have had a hip replacement and one knee replacement and at my last MRI, I mentioned about the metal aspect but was told it wasnt a problem.

I have set the airport scanners to bleep but they appear to believe me when I tell them about the THR and TKR.

I also set the exit bleeper off at the garden centre (meant to detect thieves) but the assistant laughed it off. Lucky for me.
