I have only just found out that this is available ,is it recommended for people on anti tnfs ? As I have always understood that I have to avoid people with shingles. Mig.

    Morning,

I start Ciclosporin this week so I'll have no immune system at all & I've been told not to have it but to go ahead with flu & pneumonia!! I don't know wot the difference is ... Maybe the shingles one has live virus? I'd definitely check with with ure Rheumy dept first.

All of us on DMARDS and anti-tnfs have to avoid chicken pox, mig. We had our flu jabs on Saturday and Mr SW was told he should book in for a shingles jab but I wasn't. I just assumed it was because he's 70 and I'm not but I'll ask when I go with him - I'm down for pneumonia

Just checked it out, mig. It's a live vaccine so we can't have it.

Daft as it sounds my surgery say you either have to be 70 or 79 nowhere in between just those 2 ages. Why no one knew so pretty normal answer from this lot we have.
