Yesterday I had what could have been an excruciatingly embarrassing conversation with my doctor. He called me on my mobile, after I needed to speak to him about something. I was in the car and the line wasn't great, plus I had pulled into a layby to talk and there was a lot of traffic going past so I couldn't hear him properly. Now, before I continue, I have to tell you that I have a crush on my GP. Now I'll continue....

He asked me what was wrong, and after I explained to him he said 'I don't think I've met with you...(pause while he read my notes)...OH...yes I have, of course I have...how could I forget?'
I laughed and said 'You should remember me, I threw my phone at you last time I was with you'. (My phone had slipped out of my hand and hit him last time I walked into his office). So after a few minutes talking and laughing he said 'ouchpotato...can I ask you a question?'. I said 'of course', and he said (or so I thought he said) 'Did I have sex with you when you threw your phone at me?'. I was dumbstruck for a second (whilst imagining all sorts of things!) and I said 'er....pardon?'
He repeated himself, more clearly this time...

'Did I upset you when you threw your phone at me?'

Uh hum...'nuff said!

Haha oh goodness thanks for this post ouchpotato it has brightened my day. But gosh def an embarassing situation. Thank god you said pardon and nothing else lol 8)

I'd have had to have changed doctors, that's for sure Annie! He's rather lovely and handsome, this doctor, and my goodness...I could have said something like 'well, we didn't but I'm up for it if you are!'!

Exactly kittikat. Haha least we can have a good laugh about it. Dunno about you but its just the tonic ive needed today to be honest been feeling lil glum. So i thank you lots ouchpotato even if has been sadly at ur misfortune. X

Oh my.... wars were declared for lesser misunderstandings. But it is decidedly a very amusing story. And now we know why we are not supposed to use our mobile-phones in the car. All sorts of....accidents may happen!

Oh no...I'm keeping this GP, no matter how red faced I am when I go to see him next! he's the only one in years and years of trying to get a diagnosis who has referred me to a rheumatologist, and has promised we will get to the bottom of it, so blushes or not, my GP he stays!
Of course had I responded with 'I wish' I may well have been filling out registration forms for the other surgery as we speak!

Thanks ouch potato, yes feeling a little better today gonna try get out of house for abot today before these four walls drive me mad lol. Oh no definitely keep the dr he sounds very good and least you got added bonus of him being v pleasing on the eye
