Keeping medications cool while flying

How do people keep medications chilled while flying? When I was using Humira it was ok to leave them at room temp for x amount of hours (so I was told) and when I was taking enbrel I had to use ice packs which were allowed back then.

Now that theres a restriction on the amount of fluid/gel etc on flights what do people use to keep their medication cool? I'm going to be traveling for the best part of 28 hours so I really am clueless about how I'm going to do it. My only other option is to ask my doctor for tablet form of meth and feel sick for the whole duration of my holiday.

Any ideas suggestions etc would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You can get small ice/gel packs but am sure you can get dispensation for medicines. I would ring the airline and ask.

I know there are restrictions on links, but this one is to the appropriate 'carrying medicines' information from Heathrow Airport so I presume will be allowed.....

Looks like the short answer is no, you can't take it all as hand luggage, it will have to go in the hold although can be kept cool .... x

I think most airlines will keep meds in a fridge for you but you need to contact them first to arrange it and be very explicit at security. Prescriptions etc will almost certainly be required. And don't assume that the return journey will therefore be sorted. Ring again to check beforehand.
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.

Thanks all for your suggestions, while having my infusion today I asked about what people normally do with their medication. I was told that they will give me a letter saying that I must carry the items with my on the plane to be kept cool and safe, due to the medication being fragile (temp control, no shaking etc etc)
