I am blessed with decent sleep so not that kind of tired just a feeling of worn out.doing the basic daily domestics has we done in by 11 a.m & I mean the very basics.
Would appreciate your wisdom on this.

Hi and welcome to the forum x
I can't help with advice on this, but don't like to read and run. This is a really friendly and helpful forum and no doubt someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly xToots x0 -
Hello, to lose a son must be very hard and I am so sorry. My mother died six months ago today (which is in the right order of things) but my tiredness levels are beyond the pale (or is it pail? I can never remember but I know it's to do with fences and limits). My initial thinking is that your tiredness could be more to do with grief, especially if you are sleeping reasonably well.
I have to go to bed but I will leave you with this thought; I think that it is easy to blame our arthrtitis for many problems when, in fact, they are the usual occurrences in life. I wish you well. DDHave you got the despatches? No, I always walk like this. Eddie Braben0 -
Yes, I believe OA (and probably other forms) can be exhausting. It causes not just pain, but loss of mobility and without realising it you are expending a lot of energy compensating for that, even when you don't consciously notice the pain and stiffness.0

Interesting question, I had complain of being too tired and had my blood taken all normal, still cannot get to the root of my tireness.Life's for living, use it well0 -
Sorry to hear you have lost your son. That must be very hard.
For the first year after my mother died, my fatigue was awful. I also have RA so hard to work out what was what but I did feel exhausted emotionally as well as physically. I still suffer with fatigue but it is active RA.0 -
Hi Mariefrance,
I am so sorry to hear you have lost a son, can't imagine how you are feeling.
I have Oa in lower spine and hips, I can't do anywhere near what I used to be able to do as I get tired, it's an effort isn't it coping with pain? Pacing works for me and if I overdo things I certainly know it the next day!
I'm a lot better for loosing weight and trying to build muscle strength with stretching, exercises and aqua classes.
I am thinking of writing a list of jobs to do over the week as my house is getting like it needs a good spring clean and can only manage it a bit at a time.
It is very frustrating, I may get a cleaner in as I have more important things in my life than worrying about the house.
Hope this helps,
Best wishes,
Trish x0 -
Hi. Yes, OA does cause tiredness. Putting up with constant pain is very wearying. I have been suffering with extreme tiredness for many months now. I recently had some blood tests done which have shown up a low thyroid level - which causes extreme tiredness! Am now on thyroxine tablets and starting to feel the benefit. It might be worth checking?
I hope you can get something to help you soon. Beryl0 -
Hi Marie, So sorry that your dealing with the loss of your Son, Meds and Arthritis can make you fatigued and on top of your grieve that must have taken all your emotional energy know wonder you have zero energy. You need to rest up and get some energy back.0

There are many causes of extreme fatigue. I think a chat with your GP might be a good idea. It could be OA or grief or low iron levels to name but three. I hope (s)he can do something to help you.If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving definitely isn't for you.
