Went to see the vampires on Monday and brought home a little gift! Woke up yesterday feeling vile, body ached, bunged up nose, tummy ache and fever! Wonderful , I've got the flu bug going about! So I'll be on and off here till I feel better. Hope you all get away without getting it because it's nasty. Right finishing up and going to snuggle under my duvet again!

I reckon you were already brewing this and now it's found its 'voice'. Keep warm, hydrated and take paracetamol to help reduce your temperature. I hope you feel better soon! DD

I hope it's not flu, too, though I agree with Barbara - I, too, know of people who've had nasty bugs.

Have you had your flu jab, bubbadog?

I do empathise. I got a very ill after my first flu jab to the point where I was a whisker away from hospital, my DMARD was changed and I never had another until going to visit my two month old grandson in 'swine flu year'. I had both and was OK. I've had my flu jabs every year since and been OK apart from minor niggles.

It is, as they assure us, impossible to get flu from a dead flu jab vaccine but it is easy to be harbouring a bug when we get the flu jab which will be made worse because of it. I'm careful now to get my jabs as early as possible before all the winter bugs start up. I'm also super-cautious about ensuring I'm as fit as possible when having it.

I do hope you'll feel better soon.
