DWP Integrity Centre Letter today

There have been a few ups and downs lately when our son who is still living at home started his degree course in September which caused a few issues with housing benefit and council tax payments.
Today I received a letter from the DWP integrity centre along with an Income support A2 review form to fill in. The letter says they need to review our circumstances to ensure we are getting the right amount etc.
The council messed up and sent me a letter to say our son had an income of £411.78 per week (he wishes he had) then they sent another letter to say it was 1 pence for a 2 week period before he started his course.
I am thinking this has got back to DWP hence the reason for the Integrity Department Letter.
Just wondered if anyone on here has had one of these A2 forms as I have also filled in one last September.
One interesting note on the form is a question that asks if you a blind or registered blind then underneath it says if you have ticked yes please explain how you have managed to fill this form in Crazy stuff.
One thing I have noticed is that when your kids get to 19 and do a degree and they are no longer included in a benefit claim it gets hard work.
Hope everyone is as well as can be Thanks everyone.

Thanks Barbara,
I am also including all original docs from college to prove he is at college and provided them with his national insurance number so they can check with HM Revenue & customs that he has no income.
I cant get over how people can fraud the system.0 -
Hi Justin,
Hopefully in light of all the information/mis-information you have been given recently regarding your Son starting at uni they just want to make sure any benefit payments are correct. They apparently pick out random claimants to check.
I have read that you need to make sure it is returned in the enclosed envelope as if it goes missing your benefit claim will be closed.
I hope your Son is enjoying his uni.

Hi Elizabeth and everyone, Our son is enjoying his uni study. I have sent the form back today and got some advice from citizens advice beforehand who confirmed that my sons maintenance grant wont effect the amount of income support which is something.
I have also sent it in the envelope that they provided as it had some number and letter code on the front bottom left corner with a line saying Ref..... so that must be for them when it gets to them.
I also sent it 1st class signed for recorded even though it was a free post 2nd class envelope just to make sure it gets there. I don't think it was a random generated thing as I had one of these less than a year back where this letter states they need to review my circumstances to make sure they are paying the correct amount.
I think its because our son was removed from the claim and they can see he isn't claiming anything so therefore want to check it out (prob wondering where he is getting money to live from) hopefully things should be ok - Will keep you all posted.
On another note is it just me or do the brown envelops mainly seem to land on a Saturday - Bizarre.0 -
Can't help feeling that DWP and Integrity don't actually belong together....0

Update - After their checks everything is correct and as it should be which I thought it would be, they sent all my original documents back aswell that I submitted.
Apparently it was all because we have had quite a bit of a reduction in money after our eldest was removed and this had generated the enquiry as it could of indicated that because of the reduction that someone could of been earning money or getting money they shouldn't have been.
Just shows what can get alarm bells ringing, Just thought to give you an update.0
