Hi
You know how my eyes were really streaming?.....excessive tears.
Most of you know about the eye doc {Mr Nasty} that I've been seeing for about 3 years with no luck. He just kept giving me the same nose spray :?

I went to the GP to request a 2nd opinion {yesterday...Mon} she said give him another chance.....apparently he has 3 different things on letters he has sent to her, she asked which was the worse and I said excessive tears......well when you see him in Jan  just say
"What are we going to do about these tears?"

I was so bad last night that Peter suggested he take me to a walk in eye clinic at a hospital 20 something miles away....We went there this morning. Saw a lovely doc, his diagnosis was dry eyes.....moderate.....the eye drops the GP had given me might help mild dry eyes but not mine so he gave me a stronger one and said minimum of 6 times a day......also a cream for my eyelids at night.

I got home and the post was there.......one from the surgery :?
The letter said find enclosed "Choose and Book Sheets for your referral to an eye department" :? The next page.......they had chosen the hospital for me and filled it in....even got an appointment for 20th Dec
Its at the hospital that I go to for my hips/back/pain clinic so is easier than the one I went to today.
Considering she said give Mr Nasty another try in January that came as a shock
The one I saw today........has sent her a letter asking for the stuff he gave me today to be put on repeat prescription.

Oh yes......I left the house at 9.30am ...no tears.....none all the way to the hospital or sitting waiting ...Murphy's Law {for mods benefit}
I didn't get home until 4.30 and still not a sign of a tear......weird or what :? I expected them to start as soon as we got out of the hospital.

Good for you if you've read this far
Love
Hileena

    Dear Hileena;

Still no tears? That's terrific! I really hope it continues to work. That would be a huge relief for you.

    Hoping it continues...fingers crossed...

Gosh, this is sounding much more positive for you - I am so happy to read this and I sincerely hope this lasts. You sought a new opinion and it has been positive - this is good. DD

    Hi Anna and DD
    Yes lets hope it lasts.
Then I've got an appointment 20th Dec in a completely different hospital
    for my eyes
If I have to keep going back the way I have been over the past 3 years at least its a lot easier to get to

Hileena, that sounds so positive. I do hope it continues in that vein. You had so much trouble for so long with your eyes. I have everything crossed (Crikey, that makes my own eyes water  )

That must be such a relief Hileena. I know how miserable it is when eyes water continually like this and I really do hope that these eye drops continue to keep the watering controlled. Fingers tightly crossed (while I'm still on steroids!) Mat x

    Hi
Almost 2 full days and no tears at all.......Eyelids and along my eyelashes are itchy but that's nothing compared to what it has been
Today my eyes have been a bit watery but not streaming......thank goodness.......I don't think there is a cure for it but if I can keep it under control I'll be happy. I mean that's what we have to do with our arthritis.....manage it
    Thanks again everyon
    Love
    Hileena
